Mardi Himal Trek

After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will greet you, pickup, and transfer to the hotel. After checking in, you have the day to rest, or go gear shopping in Thamel, explore. Then, we will have a traditional Nepali welcome dinner with cultural show.

The day starts with 25 minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, with spectacular views of Himalayan range. After landing, private jeep will pick you up, driving to Kande, which usually takes about 2-3 hours. From Kande, our trek begins, starting with uphill climb on stone paths leading to Australian Base Camp, and eventually to Deurali.

After leaving Deurali, you will be walking through dense forests covered in orchids and ferns. Along the way, you get to experience local, authentic teahouses. Also, you can spot different wildlife like langurs, birds. The day will be concluded at Rest Camp.

The trail is steady from Rest Camp, passing by Low Camp. The forests begin to thin out from here. Reaching Badal Danda, you ascend above the tree line, with final push to High Camp into alpine terrain with panoramic mountain views. With no dense trees, you can get close up views of Mt. Machapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli right outside the teahouse windows.

Starting early morning hike (4:00 am) to catch the sunrise up to Mardi Base Camp. The steep climbing uphill trail is narrow, with rocky ridge line till Mardi Himal Viewpoint (4200 m). After witnessing sunrise over the mountains, you will then descend via High Camp to Low Camp.

Descend through traditional villages of Sidding. The villages follow cultural lifestyle, of local Gurung and Brahmin people. Then, a jeep picks you from Sidding, 2-3 hours drive to Pokhara, where you can check in at hotel, explore the city and relax.

Flight back to Kathmandu, check-in, and free time.

Breakfast and transfer to Tribhuvan Airport for your return flight.
